Gov.

Texas House OKs bill allowing police to deport undocumented migrants In a post on social media Tuesday, Patrick praised the lead negotiators in both chambers for “producing the strongest border security bill in the country.” The removal bill would empower police to arrest people they suspect of unlawfully entering Texas from Mexico, creating a new class of “illegal entry” state crimes. Up to this point, Senate GOP lawmakers had pushed for attempting to jail every person arrested.
