Maine Republican State Representative Lucas Lanigan turned himself into police on a charge of domestic violence aggravated assault.

A Republican lawmaker from Maine was arrested this week after allegedly choking his partner.On Monday, Allegations Against LaniganLanigan was accused of choking his partner after she confronted him about a possible affair at a storage facility in the city of Sanford. A police affidavit states that Lanigan choked his partner for 20 seconds.

Lanigan's abhorrent criminal conduct and demanding his immediate resignation from the Maine State House & withdrawal as a candidate for the November 5 election.
