Alabama Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville suggested that retirees might not receive their benefits.
Alabama Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville has suggested that retiring Americans may not receive their Social Security when they stop working, a development should it come to pass that will be a blow to millions who rely on the monthly benefits.'No, most people won't get Social Security,' Tuberville said, according to Newsmax. 'It's just unfortunate. It was a tax that was levied on the American people years ago, sold a bill of goods.
In this body, we had better start figuring that out because we're gonna have a run on this city here soon and there's gonna be about 150 million people coming up here saying, 'Where's our damn money that we paid in?' I could've put my Social Security money for 40 years in the market and it probably would be worth eight to 10 million today, but the federal government wasted it.
