Former President Donald Trump's decision to forgo the first Republican National Committee primary debate on Wednesday doesn't mean his presence won't be felt.

Trump will have several of his presidential campaign surrogates in Milwaukee to needle his 2024 rivals, who will all battle to stand out on the Trump-less debate stage, in the spin room.Donald Trump Jr. and his fiance Kimberly Guilfoyle will attend the debate as surrogates for his father."We're excited to see all of our friends in Milwaukee who want to Make America Great Again!!!" the younger Trump said.

All three members of Congress have been staunch Trump supporters, with Donalds needling Trump's top rival, Gov. Ron DeSantis , over his endorsement of Florida's education standards for African American history. Greene suggested last week that she would consider becoming Trump's running mate should he become the GOP's next standard-bearer. The Trump campaign did not confirm Greene's comments.
