KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 — A 69-year-old man, who was allegedly assaulted by Petaling Jaya City Council enforcement officers during a stray dog operation, claimed trial at the Petaling Jaya Magistrates’ Court today to obstructing public servants from discharging their duties.

He pleaded not guilty after the charge was read to him before Magistrate Shahril Anuar Ahmad Mustapa. The offence carries a maximum penalty of two years’ imprisonment, a maximum fine of RM10,000, or both.
