Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told Paris Saint-German to get rid of Neymar after the Brazilian"liked" tweets criticising the Frenchman following their 5-2 win over Montpellier on Saturday.According to French journalist Romain Molina, the 24-year-old and his camp have been pushing for the former Barcelona forward to leave the club since he signed his new three-year deal earlier this year.
The news comes after Mbappe returned to action for PSG in their comprehensive victory over Montpellier, a match in which he scored but also missed a penalty. The France star stepped up to take the kick from 12 yards after Neymar had taken a penalty in the Ligue 1 champions' previous win over Clermont Foot, but saw his effort saved.Neymar then took the second penalty awarded to PSG in the match and scored, with manager Christophe Galtier saying after the game that it was decided before the match that Mbappe would be first in line.
More tension was created when the Brazilian"liked" tweets in which Mbappe was criticised for his attitude in the match, with one suggesting the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner became the"owner" of PSG following his contract extension in May. The report adds that their relationship has soured heavily in recent times, with Mbappe said to feel he could learn more from playing alongside Lionel Messi going forward.
