Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly sacked head coach Stuart Baxter, bringing to an end an indifferent second spell at the Soweto giants. Read more here ➡️

Baxter's second spell as head coach of Kaizer Chiefs appears to have come to an end after it was reported on Thursday that the club had relieved him of his duties.sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jnr and it is expected that he will be replaced by assistant coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillion Sheppard until the end of the season.

The decision comes amid growing disgruntlement from Chiefs supporters following a disappointing run of results that has seen the club all but surrender the league title to rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.Following a defeat to SuperSport United on the weekend, after which Baxter was pelted with objects from the home fans, the Amakhosi languish 18 points behind Masandawana in the log standings and could be forced to form a guard of honour when the two sides meet next month.

The former Bafana Bafana coach departs with just 11 wins from his 26 matches in charge of his second spell at Naturena, which also included nine defeats and six draws across all competitions.
