KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 — The two daughters of incumbent Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and his predecessor Datuk Seri Najib Razak were among candidates who secured enough votes to sit in the party wings for the next term, a Malay newspaper reported today.

Two other candidates, Nurul Syifa Ridzwan Goh and Nik Zakirah Farhanis Zakimi Na Rahin, reportedly had 103 votes for the contest for a spot in Puteri Umno’s exco, as of the time of the report. There were 42 contenders for the 20-seat Puteri Umno exco.According toinfographics, the Umno Youth vice-president post appears to have been won by Mohd Hairi Mad Shah.
