Former NBA shooting guard Jason Terry has been hired as an assistant coach at his alma mater of Arizona,Terry, who played for six NBA teams during his 19-year career, won an NCAA championship as a sophomore with the Wildcats, and played for that school between 1995 and 1999.
The NBA veteran leaves a position with the Dallas Mavericks - with whom he won an NBA championship in 2011 - as assistant general manager of Dallas' G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, according to the report.Terry averaged 13.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game during his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks.
