With the CAF Super League set to be launched today, the huge prize money that will be up for grabs in the tournament has reportedly been revealed, although it has raised questions too. 🧐 More here! ➡

CAF president Patrice Motsepe will launch the eagerly anticipated competition in a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, and it is expected to kick off a new era of club football in the continent.This new tournament has consistently been proposed by the Mamelodi Sundowns owner, while the contest has also been pushed forward in partnership with FIFA.

Motsepe revealed at a recent press conference that 197 matches in total will take place between August and May with a club needing to play around 21 matches to reach the final., who claim to have seen a CAF presentation regarding the tournament, the competition's budget will be $200 million , with half of that total being split between the 24 participating clubs.

This will guarantee each club a minimum of $2.5 million , while the winner is set to walk away with more than four times that amount, withPer the abovementioned British publication, though, the document does not specify where the $200 million will come from as there was no indication of sponsorship or potential broadcasting revenue in the presentation.
