The Albanese government has restarted flights for stranded Australians in Israel after being forced to cancel repatriation efforts due to security concerns.

“This afternoon I can confirm that the Australian government is planning multiple flights to depart from Tel Aviv today for Australians wanting to leave. “We are also coordinating options with partners who are held helping their own citizens with departures.”Subject to factors including the security environment, the Australian Government is planning multiple flights to depart from Tel Aviv today, for Australians wanting to leave.Senator Wong added that Australians in Lebanon should consider leaving the country, as violence in the region escalates further.
“I am now saying to Australians: if you are in Lebanon, you should consider whether your need to remain there is essential.”Earlier this week, Lebanese militant group Hezbollah joined the conflict by firing a barrage of rockets into Israel just days after Hamas launched a multi-front terror attack in the country.
