The Pride of the Susquehanna paddleboat must make an unexpected repair required by the U.S. Coast Guard, which will cancel its 2024 season.

However, Dauphin County announced Friday that the repair means the paddleboat won’t be launched at all this summer. It said in a news release that “while the Pride of the Susquehanna successfully passed all other requirements of the annual Coast Guard inspection, an unforeseen and complex repair is needed to the men’s restroom waste tank to launch the vessel. This unexpected issue requires significant time, expertise and resources to complete.
