Florida Rep. Ramon Alexander will not run for a fourth term following sexual harassment accusations.
Alexander, who was slated to become House minority leader, announced his decision Thursday morning on social media.
Rep. Evan Jenne, D-Dania Beach and the current House minority leader, said Alexander's family were in his thoughts"as they navigate into this next phase of their lives." On Tuesday, the Tallahassee Democrat detailed allegations by Michael Johnson Jr., who claims he was wrongfully terminated in January as associate athletic director. He alleged that he was fired after reporting wrongdoing by an equipment manager and performance issues involving the men’s track coach, a relative of Alexander.
