HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. - Representative Paul Lee was honored at the Houston County Commission for his work during the legislative session. The Association of County Commissions of Alabama paid a special visit to the county.
It recognized Lee for his role in finding a solution to a problem facing county commissions across the state.Lee sponsored a bill that addressed this problem, making sure the Department of Youth Services would reimburse counties for costs incurred under certain circumstances. “We realized that there was a problem when she brought it to us. Rather than it taking months to transfer these kids to the right place, now we have it to within 30 days.
