Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has proposed that recent unexplained drone sightings across the U.S. could originate from extraterrestrial sources. She expressed concern that the government is not being transparent about the situation, questioning if the drones are of foreign origin or advanced American technology. Mace suggested the motives behind the drones could range from searching for radiation to retrieving a missing nuclear warhead.

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., suggested during an interview recorded Monday a recent surge in unexplained drone activity in the U.S. could be coming from “outer space.”

The Biden administration’s Department of Defense denied the congressman's claim that an Iranian "mothership" is involved with the drones. “My concern is, if it’s not craft from outer space — because I think that has to be on the table, that has to be an option — is it our technology?” she asked. “Or is it Russia or Iran or China? Is there someone who’s winning the arms race, and are we behind?”

The government is doing what the government does,” she added. “They are not being forthcoming, they are lying to the American people about these drones in New Jersey. How can we ever trust them?”
