Raskin, who is 60 years old and about to start his fourth term in Congress, said he had been diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma and would undergo a course of chemo-immunotherapy on an outpatient basis at Washington’s MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. He called it a “serious but curable” form of cancer and said people with his condition have an excellent prognosis after four months of treatment.
