Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on additional charges in a superseding indictment, including allegations of identity theft and transferring money to his personal bank account from a supporter’s credit card. U.S.
' The new indictment charges Santos with “one count of conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States, two counts of wire fraud, two counts of making materially false statements to the Federal Election Commission , two counts of falsifying records submitted to obstruct the FEC, two counts of aggravated identity theft, and one count of access device fraud.” Santos' congressional office did not immediately respond to NBC News' request for comment.
