SAN ANTONIO - Rep. Joaquin Castro visited the South Texas ICE Processing Center in Pearsall to address concerns about detainee conditions, including overcrowding and limited access to medical care and attorneys. Castro described the facility as "a prison" and noted that many of the 1,700 detainees are not criminals, with some potentially qualifying for U.S. citizenship. During his visit, he met with detainees, including a U.S. citizen separated from her 12 children and a diabetic woman who had been without medicine for six months. Outside the facility, demonstrators showed support for law and order, while some criticized Castro for his delayed response to humanitarian issues. Castro recounted an incident where he intervened for a woman with a U.S.-born parent, saying, "When I found that out that she had a parent that was born in the United States, right away, I called the ICE folks over and said, 'Hey, this lady's got a parent that was born in the United States. She shouldn't even be sitting here.'" Critics questioned Castro's absence during the arrival of 400,000 unaccompanied children at the border under the Biden administration, asking why he wasn't addressing open border policies.Air Force pilots forced to perform landing with nose gear up at Laughlin Air Force Base DEL RIO, Texas - A training aircraft was forced to perform a landing wthout it's nose gear deployed at a local Air Force base.On Thursday, Lackland Air Force BaSAN ANTONIO - Two suspects have been arrested on drug trafficking chagres afterOn Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the arrests of Gerardo PiSAN ANTONIO - One person is dead after a horrific accident on a Northeast Side highway. The deadly accident happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday along North LoopSAN ANTONIO -Congressman Joaquin Castro is looking into an alleged raid on a San Antonio home byU.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after a video sA 16-year-old girl shared her story with CBS Austin after getting into a fight with an adult man at an anti-ICE protest in Buda on Monday.“I didn't think it was
