More rain to be expected by midweek as active weather remains with usANCHORAGE, Alaska - September is continuing the trends of August, as wet weather remains with us across the southern mainland.
The low will quickly shift to the southeast into the evening, barely clipping Southeast Alaska before impacting the Pacific Northwest later this week. With the low departing to our southeast, we’ll see a brief return to dry conditions, before more rain arrives by the middle of the week. Rain by Wednesday looks to be widespread and will likely stick around for much of the day.Outside of some spot showers today, fairly dry conditions can be expected both today and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, across Western Alaska, rain showers and breezy conditions will be the norm this week. While no one day looks to bring any significant rain, we will be watching a low building east across the Bering Tuesday into Wednesday. This will lead to widespread rain for parts of Southwest Alaska, as well as breezy conditions.
