Remembrance Day Parade and Manchester ceremony - dates, time, route confirmed

'Remembrance Sunday gives us an opportunity to reflect on past and present conflicts'

Manchester will fall silent on Sunday, November 13, as the city remembers the fallen during the annual Remembrance Sunday commemorations. There will be a parade through the city streets before a ceremony at the Cenotaph on St Peter's Square.

Wreaths will then be laid on the Cenotaph by the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, the Lord Mayor of Manchester and a number of organisations on behalf of service men and women. After the Parade has left the Cenotaph, the crowd control barriers will be removed, and members of the public will have an opportunity to place their tributes around the memorial.
