In this photo, Brianna is beautiful – and she looks happy. The ‘much-loved daughter, granddaughter and baby sister’ seems free and entirely herself She’s been caught in what looks like a moment of serenity and bliss, with a half-eaten chocolate bar in one hand and an opened bottle of Coke Zero close by.
Just like any teenage girl today, Brianna’s phone was probably full of messages – ones that she’ll never get to read now. ‘They were just in each other’s worlds,’ Damian Harry, whose daughters knew Brianna, said. ‘Everyone described her as the most beautiful girl,’ he added. Friends have spoken of how selfless Brianna would regularly support and congratulate them through their transitionAmelia, from Edinburgh, told VICE World News that she met Brianna through TikTok three years ago and spoke to her every day – including on the day she died. ‘She made me feel unstoppable as a trans girl,’ she said – adding that she was ‘really pretty, because she would never let me put myself down.
While posting openly about being trans, Brianna took to her online support network to talk of her mental health, and how A tribute released by Brianna’s family echoes the same sentiments – describing how her death has left ‘a massive hole’ in their lives.
