PETALING JAYA: The remand order for a lorry driver who crashed into a police roadblock that led to the death of a corporal has been extended.
"It was granted for three days, from May 11 to 13," he said when contacted later Monday.
The suspect was initially arrested on May 3 under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by driving recklessly.On May 3, a police corporal on duty died after a suspected drunk driver crashed into him at a roadblock at the Lekas Highway. The victim has been identified as Corporal Safwan Muhammad Ismail, 31, who was attached to Kajang police headquarters.
