On Thursday, a Plymouth resident found what looked to be human remains near Jackson Road, and notified the Amador County Sheriff’s Office, according to the post. Members of the Oakley and Antioch police departments went to Plymouth on Friday to assist in the investigation. By Friday night, a forensic odontologist identified the remains as those of Gabe. Plymouth is about 40 miles east of Sacramento.
Authorities had said that Jones had traveled to the area where the remains were found shortly after Gabe was reported missing. Authorities conducted a further search of the area, but no other remains were recovered. "Due to the nature of the condition of Alexis’ remains, and the lack of her full body, we do believe the remainder of her remains are scattered in various areas," the city of Oakley said.Katie Dowd and Joshua Bote contributed to this report.
