Relocation of Indonesia’s capital has major impact on Sarawak, says Awang Tengah

KUCHING, March 8 — The relocation of Indonesia’s capital city from Jakarta to Kalimantan will have a major impact especially on cross-border trade involving Sarawak, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan. Meanwhile, Awang Tengah, who is also NRDA chairman said, the state government planned to develop the downstream oil and gas industry, particularly the field of petrochemical as well as petroleum and gas refining, in Lawas district.
