Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7800 W. McCarthy Road: Trunk or Treat from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the back parking lot. Volunteers will pass out candy and other goodies from decorated trunks, and goody bags will be given out. The event moves inside if the weather is poor. Attendees are encouraged to dress up and if able to bring nonperishable food item to donate for Haunts Against Hunger for human and pet friends in need. Collected food will be given to the food pantry in Palos Heights.
If you have a car, decorate it and join us in the parking lot. Public is welcome. Information: 708-422-4200. Faith United Presbyterian Church, 6200 W. 167th St.: Pumpkin patch through Oct. 31. It’s open from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Pumpkins in all sizes, crafts, and a maze are available. Trunk of Treat will take place 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 in the church parking lot.
