The nearly three-minute audio, broadcast by a Catalan radio station, captures his distress as he reports his father has fallen down a ravine near the Colbato Caves in the Montserrat massif northwest of Barcelona.
Throughout the call, Andic struggles to maintain composure, breaking down in tears while answering the operator's questions about the location and his father's condition. Additional elements include Jonathan's claim that an old phone used on the day of the death was stolen in Ecuador and its data erased, which the judge interpreted as suspicious. She concluded there were sufficient prima facie indications of 'non-accidental death, with active and premeditated involvement' by the son. In response, Andic, who stepped down as Mango's vice-president pending the inquiry, has consistently denied wrongdoing.
He described the accusation as 'serious, unjust and unfounded' in an open letter to staff, arguing a 'one-sided' public narrative has distorted reality.
