Regional bank earnings are expected to be a weak point this earnings season.
Regional banks will be in focus in the week ahead as traders head into the thick of third-quarter earnings season. The corporate reporting season is off to a solid start with results on Friday from Citigroup , JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo that were better than expected. But traders will be looking to regional banks for signs of weakness that could work their way through the broader economy.
