Nationals leader David Littleproud says regional and remote Australia will “miss out again” if the Voice to Parliament proposal gets up. “What this means for us … you are going to have a representative that is covering hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions of square kilometres,” he told Sky News Australia. “Hundreds of different diverse communities. And what we are doing is falling into the trap of sending them back to Canberra and letting the bureaucracy generalise and then to nationalise programs that are not fit for purpose in individual communities.”
