Reem Acra said she oriented her new collection for “at-home” living. She didn’t skimp on any of her signature glamour, but princess dresses were mostly replaced by slinkier styles. Some sleeveless numbers were embroidered in art deco motifs, giving them a flapper look. A floor-length slip dress slathered in all things bedazzled could look quite nice in a shortened version for the woman who wants an evening out.
The collection’s red carpet numbers will keep her steady customers coming back. A dress made from pink shaved tulle had a fluffy, almost cotton candy-like appearance. It was over-the-top rich and would turn heads anywhere, be it someone’s magic garden or at a celebrity event.
