Mercedes-Benz is planning a facelift for its flagship S-Class sedan, pushing back the launch to late 2023 or early 2024. Under the hood, most of the current powertrains are expected to carry over. This includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six generating 442 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering 496 hp. The range-topping S63 E Performance is also expected to receive the facelift treatment, maintaining its formidable 791 hp and 1,055 lb-ft of torque. The ultra-luxurious Maybach S-Class will also receive a similar update, featuring revised front and rear styling, the three-pointed star lighting motif, and an upgraded interior.
