Like the title suggests, Red Velvet’s new song “Birthday” aims to make every day a celebration.
At an online press conference for the release, the K-Pop group said the song’s lyrics is focused on having fun and enjoying people’s company. “[It] is also about going back to the birthday of your crush, fulfilling every wish you imagined, and just spending an unforgettable day,” she added.
Since the track is “very kitsch and lively,” Seulgi said they will be showing “free and hip” performances that include free, playful dances, as well as drop gestures. Red Velvet released the music video for the track Monday. According to Yeri, they shot it in a set which “resembles a stunning birthday cake.”,” which is the second part of “The Reve Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm” released in March.— LA, GMA Integrated News
