Red Land’s Colton Hoffman during the Mid Penn high school football media day. Aug. 2, 2023. Sean Simmers | [email protected] two-point victory over Northeastern was a long time ago, the second week of the 2023 high school football season to be exact.
Red Land had rebounded from a tough opener vs. Northern and gained some traction is what was expected to be a tough season for the Patriots. And it has been, although the Patriots did manage another bounce back performance Friday, paced by senior two-way ace Colton Hoffman.Among the team leaders in tackles from his linebacker position, Hoffman has doubled as a reliable runner on the offensive side.
He proved it again against Palmyra, carrying 25 times for 95 yards and a touchdown as Red Land defeated the Cougars 24-7. Hoffman’s performance was marked by PennLive voters, too. The 6-foot, 215-pounder carried the highest number of votes in PennLive’s player of the week poll.
