A red flag warning is in effect for parts of Southern California due to high winds and low humidity increasing the risk of wildfires. Temperatures are expected to be significantly warmer than normal, with the warmest readings projected for inland areas.

Good morning and welcome to the warmest day of the week. A red flag warning still remains for the western LA and Ventura counties until this evening as high winds and low humidity create the risk of wildfires. Temperatures will rise a few degrees above normal today with the warmest temperatures expected in the valleys and inland areas. High temperatures for the coastal areas will range between 71 to 80 degrees, into the mid 80s for the inland coast including inland Orange County.

A red flag warning still remains for the western L.A. and Ventura Counties until this evening as high winds and low humidity create the risk of wildfires. Temperatures will rise between five to 10 degrees above normal today with the warmest temperatures expected in the valleys and inland areas. High temperatures for the coastal areas will range between 71 to 80 degrees, into the mid 80s for the inland coast including inland Orange County. The San Gabriel, San Fernando Valleys and the Inland Empire will range in the upper 70s to mid 80s, meanwhile expect highs in the mid to upper 70s only for Santa Clarita Valley. High desert temperatures are still cooler with highs in the upper 60s while daytime highs for the low desert will range between 76 to 81 degrees. Tonight's lows will drop to the upper 40s to low 50s.prepared to evacuate in case of a wildfire breaks outs. The warning applies to the Santa Clarita Valley and western San Fernando Valley, including L.A. County mountains, Ventura County and the Malibu coast, where crews are still working to contain the Franklin Fire
