Recording of Senzo Meyiwa murder-accused during confession process not violation of rights - expert
The defence in the Senzo Meyiwa trial was"clutching at straws" when they argued the audio recording of Bongani Ntanzi completing a confession document violated his rights and should, therefore, not be admitted as evidence.
The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has spent the last week hearing evidence in a trial-within-a-trial, which is being held to determine the admissibility of confessions made by Ntanzi and one of his co-accused, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya. Ntanzi, Sibiya and their three co-accused are on trial for the murder of the former Bafana Bafana captain, who was shot and killed on 26 October 2014, while visiting his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, at her mother's house in Vosloorus.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
