Museums are closing, art fairs are being cancelled, and the start of 2022 appears to be as grim as spring of 2020 when the global art world first came to a screeching halt.
This time last year, it seemed we’d be ready to safely turn our gaze back at the live art viewing experience with the worst of the pandemic behind us. Now, more than a year after the first vaccine doses were administered, the art world faces another excruciating setback.
Museums have already taken major precautions to keep staff and visitors safe, and there will likely be stricter rules implemented in an effort to deter long-term closures.
