The relentless summer heat is hanging around. More triple digits are in store with highs near record territory through Friday.
The weekend will be slightly less hot with highs around 100. A stray storm or two is possible but much of the time will be dry.A long-awaited change in the pattern is expected early next week with a chance of thunderstorms and cooler weather. The best time-frame for widespread rain next week looks to be Tuesday through Wednesday. Temperatures will come down quite a bit with highs in the 80s to lower 90s.
