CHICAGO (CBS) -- Tyshawn Johnson, a 17-year-old honor roll student and recent high school graduate, was found shot to death in Andersonville this past Tuesday night. This tragic event marks a devastating recurrence of loss for Tyshawn's mother, Shatara Clark, who previously endured the unimaginable pain of losing her older son, Anthony White, to gun violence in 2017.Tyshawn was one of two young men discovered with gunshot wounds just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday in Andersonville .

The other victim, a 26-year-old man, was found with gunshot wounds in the 5400 block of North Ashland Avenue, near Balmoral Avenue. He was transported to Ascension St. Francis Hospital in critical condition. Shortly after, the 26-year-old's car was located crashed into a garage in a nearby alley. Tyshawn's body was found inside the vehicle, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.Clark, who tracked her son's location through his phone when he failed to respond to text messages, revealed the heart-wrenching discovery at the scene. She expressed a fervent desire for justice, believing that her son was an innocent victim caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Tyshawn, who graduated early from Sullivan House alternative school, was poised to embark on a promising future. He planned to attend plumbing school, take college courses, and was eagerly awaiting the acquisition of his first car. Clark, deeply affected by this loss and the unsolved murder of her older son, urged anyone with information about the case to come forward. She emphasized the importance of strength for mothers facing similar tragedies, vowing to ensure that Tyshawn's case wouldn't remain cold like Anthony's.Ring surveillance camera footage obtained by the CBS News Chicago Investigators captured a man sprinting down a sleet-covered alley around the time of the shooting. A neighbor reported seeing the man bleeding and discarding his coat. As of late Thursday, the 26-year-old victim remained in critical condition. The Belmont Area detectives are actively investigating this double shooting
