Joynes was found guilty of having sex with two pupils
Joynes met the two boys through her job as a teacher at a Greater Manchester school, which cannot be named for legal reasons. The 30-year-old denied four counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts with sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust.But a jury found her guilty on all six charges on Friday, May 17, following a two week trial. Judge Cornell will sentence Joynes today, July 4, at Manchester Crown Court.
Joynes was seen crying in the dock as she was granted bail until her sentence date. Judge Kate Cornell told Joynes at the time: “You know you must be here at court for sentence, and have to serve whatever sentence I pass. On the understanding that you realise that, I am prepared to grant you bail on the same conditions.
"You must see probation before sentencing. There is a baby involved here who has done nothing wrong - you must be under no illusions on what is going to happen. Bail can be granted on the same conditions as before.
