Reba McEntire will not return as CMA Awards host this year.
The move gives McEntire a rare rest from hosting duties. She also has a long history of hosting the Academy of Country Music Awards, most recently in 2018 and 2019. Prior to that stint, she hosted the ACMs solo or with Blake Shelton from 2001 to 2012 . She also hosted in 1986 with Mac Davis and John Schneider, in 1988 with Hank Williams Jr. and in 1994 with Alan Jackson.
She also previously hosted the CMA Awards in 1990 with Randy Travis, solo in 1991 and with Vince Gill in 1992.
