The council said the security officers were carrying out duties at this location when their car was spotted
Nottingham City Council says that one of its vehicles spotted on double yellow lines was parked there legally. Nottinghamshire Live was contacted by a member of the public who saw one of the authority's vehicles left on double yellows on Castle Marina Road, near Lenton.
They saw the car on Wednesday at around 12.10pm, near to the site of Buzz Bingo and the Oliver Marketing Agency. The man said he told those in the car that they were parked on double yellow lines, to which they reportedly replied "yes, we know".Nottingham City Council has since confirmed that the vehicle was not carrying traffic wardens, and was instead being used by its security officers.
. A spokesperson added that these officers have "dispensation" to park on double yellow lines when carrying out duties.
