Leny Yoro made his first start for Man Utd on Saturday and he produced an impressive display against Rangers before being withdrawn at half-time
Leny Yoro and Jonny Evans started for United at Murrayfield this summer.
Yoro is considered among the brightest young prospects in world football and United hope he can start at the heart of their defence for the next decade. The transfer has been widely regarded as a coup and he took his first steps in a red shirt against Rangers on Saturday. For United to have signed Yoro at the start of his blossoming career is a feather in the cap of the new football structure implemented by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the British billionaire's vision - building a quality and youthful core - should pay dividends in the next few years.
Yoro attempted to find Toby Collyer but the midfielder was napping and Rangers won the ball. That sort of mistake is bound to be punished in the Premier League and so it's better to get such errors out of the way in pre-season.
