JOHANNESBURG – Dineo Ranaka has broken her silence on her mental health following the public ‘meltdown’ she went through last month in a social media post that has since been deleted.
She was then admitted to an institution, with her family and friends updating the public on her progress. The post was accompanied by an emotional caption, where she thanked users for their messages and prayers, going on to explain the condition she has been diagnosed with. “For the calls, the texts, the prayers, the well wishes… Thank you! I’ve recently been diagnosed with Severe Chronic Depression… I feel like I need to allow myself to re-introduce myself to myself because I’ve been a high functioning person with depression. And this is dangerous! VERY Dangerous! I’ve been physically sick.
