RBFCU Community Partner Spotlight: Supporting Families in Williamson and Burnet Counties Courtesy: Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties We serve around 1,300 seniors in both counties through our Meals on Wheels program.

This program is so important because seniors are not only receiving a hot, nutritious meal, but it’s also a wellness check. Sometimes the only person they see Monday through Friday is the person who knocks on the door. With the cold weather, too, I just want to say—check on your elderly neighbors.” We serve around 1,300 seniors in both counties through our Meals on Wheels program. You can fill out the application online for Head Start. Meals on Wheels is part of our community services. For our community services, we offer energy assistance that is 100% fully federally funded by the federal government. We currently know that there’s money out there, but we don’t have a contract, so we are not accepting energy applications currently, but check our website and keep looking at it. This month, the focus is on Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families through vital community services.Courtesy: Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties We will let you know. Head Start is 80% fully federally funded, so we have to come up with the other 20%. Meals on Wheels is 60% fully federally funded, so we can always use donations.
