More than 100 Ravn Alaska staff have lost their jobs, a company spokesperson confirmed Friday afternoon.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - More than 100 Ravn Alaska staff have lost their jobs, a company spokesperson confirmed Friday afternoon. The spokesperson went on to provide a short statement to Alaska’s News Source from CEO Rob McKinney saying, “130 were unfortunately laid off today.

McKinney concluded the email by writing that Ravn will “emerge as a stronger company” as a result of the restructuring. It’s unclear if airline leadership will release a public statement on the staff reduction, and how operations will be impacted.“While Ravn Alaska is entering a new and exciting chapter, it will continue to be an Alaska aviation company,” McKinney said in August 2020. “We are working as safely and as quickly as possible to get back to the skies, and are looking forward to our return as Alaska’s hometown airline servicing the vibrant communities who depend on us.”, while also providing regular service to eight other communities — Aniak, Cold Bay, Valdez, King Salmon, Sand Point, St. Mary’s, St. Paul and Unalakleet.
