Though he wasn't penalized for the play, Marlon Humphrey received a fine for unnecessary roughness for his late hit on Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow during Baltimore's 35-34 win in Week 10.
But the league office viewed Humphrey’s hit as egregious enough to warrant a $22,511 for unnecessary roughness.
“I think there was one that absolutely should have been called,” Burrow said. “But other than that, I don’t think there were many that I was upset about. There was just one.” The league also fined Humphrey for his facemask penalty against wide receiver Andrei Iosivas on the final drive of the game.
