United on a free transfer.The 29-year-old midfielder left relegated Derby at the end of last season after his contract expired but has now reunited with his former manager.'s wages to somewhere in the region of $850,000 a year, according to multiple sources.
“Wayne worked closely with Ravel during his time as manager of Derby County,” Dave Kasper, D.C. United president of soccer operations, said. “Ravel is an incredible talent and his ability to create and score goals is impressive. He has played at the highest levels during his career and his vision, creativity and ability on the ball will be a huge asset for us."
Morrison came through the youth ranks at Manchester United but has played for 12 different clubs — with D.C. United his 13th — during a career where he has frequently struggled for form, fitness and consistency. Under Rooney at Pride Park, Morrison scored five goals and recorded four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
