Dream, Death, Delirium, and the rest return in a long-awaited reprint of Eisner-winning artist Jill Thompson's Little Endless Storybook series.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT A collection of fan-favorite Sandman stories is back in print for the first time in over a decade. Jill Thompson's Delirium: A Little Endless Storybook and The Little Endless Storybook are being collected as a hardcover box set that's perfect for both collectors and young readers.
Based on Neil Gaiman's The Sandman comics, these two books reimagine the Endless siblings as adorable children. While Thompson's Little Endless books have been available digitally, physical copies in new or good condition are now harder to come by. Writer and artist Thompson is known for her work on The Sandman comics as well as the Eisner award-winning Scary Godmother series.
In Delirium's Party: A Little Endless Storybook, Delirium once again takes center stage as she decides to host a party to cheer up Endless sibling Despair. Again in the style of children's books, readers travel the realms to see what gifts each of the Endless are bringing their down-in-the-dumps sister. It's also a chance to see these Endless babies dressed up in their little-kid finery to attend the party.
A Little Starter Sandman Story For Young Fans Having both of these books reprinted means a new chance to share Thompson's imaginative illustrations with the whole family. While The Sandman, as a flagship title of DC's now-defunct Vertigo imprint, is for mature audiences, there's nothing in these soon-to-be-reprinted books objectionable for kids — provided the reader has an explanation for what Death, Desire, and the rest represent for any curious children.
