Raquel Rodriguez is back in WWE after a health scare sidelined her in 2024. The Texas native is focused on her renewed perspective and is excited to be back with The Judgement Day. She's also thrilled about Raw's move to Netflix, which she believes will expand WWE's global reach. Rodriguez is looking forward to performing in front of her hometown crowd in Dallas and embracing her new, more confident persona.

Raquel Rodriguez , the powerhouse Texas native, has returned to WWE after being sidelined for most of 2024 due to health issues stemming from Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). While she lost her women's world title during WWE 's premiere episode of Raw on Netflix earlier this month, Rodriguez is focused on the positive, expressing gratitude for her return to work and a renewed outlook on life.

'Honestly, coming back and being able to work with my friends, and just coming back in general, I couldn't be happier. I have a whole different outlook on life,' Rodriguez said. 'I'm just really happy to be on the other side of my health scare. But I'm hoping that still I can be a little bit of an inspiration and just a light for some people that are still going through it, because I know it's tough.'Rodriguez is currently serving as a key member of The Judgement Day, working alongside Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Carlito. She attributes her growth as a performer to the supportive environment within the group. 'It's been absolutely great. I am so blessed to be in this position, because I love working with Liv Morgan. I feel like she elevates me. I say this every time, she really has become my sister and my best friend and my confidant, and I feel like my game, whether that's just in style or in wrestling or in promos, every time I just want to continue to grow and get better for the growth of the group and for the growth of myself. And so I love that I get to have this moment with these really amazing people — Dominik , Finn , JD , Carlito — people I love working with and just getting to see them every Monday and getting to have these little experiences. And I think we’re making the most of it. I really do enjoy that, and I hope it’s perceived through everything else that we’re doing on the side,' she shared.Rodriguez expressed excitement about working alongside Carlito, a wrestler she admired growing up. She recalled watching him live during a match in Galveston, Texas, years ago. 'Yeah, you know, of course I watched Carlito growing up. I was in high school still watching wrestling, I loved watching him biting into that apple and spitting it into other people’s faces. And I remember when I graduated college and I was going to start pursuing wrestling, my dad was like, ‘Oh, you know, I have a buddy who’s having some matches down in Galveston. Let’s go down to Galveston, Texas, and we’ll go check him out.’ And it was like a whole thing. They brought in the top of the top, and so Carlito was there, and he was doing his meet and greet, then he had his little match at the end of the night. And it was just so cool to watch him live. And I don’t think I’ve told him that I saw him that one time that long ago, but yeah, I get really excited when I get to work with people that I used to watch, and I really admire them for everything that they’re doing,' she said. With the recent transition of Raw to streaming on Netflix, Rodriguez sees it as a significant opportunity for WWE to reach a wider audience. 'Yes, I did. Yes, I did. I, for sure, did. I knew this day would come, and I’m so glad it’s here, and I’m thankful that all of you get to be a part of this with me. It’s insane. You know, it’s wild to think — I didn’t think it would happen this suddenly. And I didn’t know it was going to happen with WWE because, of course, there’s talks about who’s going to buy us? What network? And blah, blah, blah. Then Netflix comes about, and it’s like, whoa — that’s a whole other level of what we’re talking about here. That’s just not a network that’s a streaming service. 'When we talk to Dakota , who has family in New Zealand, and her family can’t watch anything live, they only get the clips on YouTube or on Instagram, now they’re gonna have access to that. It’s like, that’s not just Dakota’s family, that’s everybody on that side of the world who’s now gonna have availability to WWE at all times and to Raw, especially, live. So there’s a lot of pressure that comes with it, but it’s very, very exciting, and it’s amazing to just see the growth that’s already happened with just two episodes,' she explained.Rodriguez is looking forward to performing in front of her hometown crowd in Dallas next week for the Texas swing. 'It’s going to be so different this time. I already feel it, because I’m different. You know, this isn’t the smiley Raquel that they saw over a year ago, you know, coming and showing off her muscles and whatnot. Now I don’t need to show off at all. You know who I am. So I’m just very excited to come back and do this Texas loop and be the mean Raquel that I always know I could be. And I want everyone to know that. I’m so excited to just be home and to share this passion with my fellow Tejanos once again, and to be out there and to just remind them that, hey, your fellow Tejano, she’s still here and she’s still kicking ass,' she concluded.
