Rapid bosses want to bring the unwanted Gers star back to his homeland and are prepared to make him the second-highest paid player in the Romanian top-flight
Rapid Bucharest will reportedly try to convince Ianis Hagi to join the club from Rangers by making him their top earner - although the player himself will have to take a huge pay cut from the salary he currently earns in Govan.
After spending the whole of last season out on loan with Alaves in La Liga, Hagi has been frozen out of the first team picture by Philippe Clement, who is keen to shift the Romania international before the August 30 transfer deadline. The former Fiorentina star has been keeping himself busy by training with the Light Blues B team, and has featured in their early part of the new season.
Liga I rivals Rapid and Universitatea Craiova have both made their interest in 25-year-old public, and details of what the former are willing to pay the creative midfielder have now been revealed. According to Romanian outlet Spotmedia, Rapid's majority shareholder Dan Sucu has offered Ragi a monthly salary of €30,000 , which could increase to an annual wage of €500,000 a year in contractual bonuses.
