With the Texans holding two first-round picks for the second straight NFL draft, we take a look at the first 18 first-round picks in franchise history. We excluded Derek Stingley Jr. and Kenyon Green, last year's first-round picks, as they're too early in their careers for their selections to be definitively judged.
Here's a ranking of those premium draft selections from 2002-19, from the very worst to the very best.A combination of injuries and ineffectiveness, with a heavy emphasis on the former. After being drafted out of Wake Forest, Johnson started 10 games his rookie season. That would turn out to be his high-water mark as a Texan.
